1. Please have your Firearms, drivers or fishing license and DOC permits with you.
2. Do not venture off until you have been met by the owners if required.
3. Leave all gates as you find them. If they’re open leave them open. If they’re closed leave them closed. You will be invoiced for labour required to muster and draft mobs if mixed up.
4. Do not interfere with any equipment, machinery or livestock.
5. Do not discharge a firearm in the vicinity of stock or buildings.
6. Do not shoot in the house paddocks.
7. Only shoot what you are allowed to shoot, plain and simple. If you are unsure, don’t take the shot, it’s that easy.
8. Do not light fires without the owner’s permission. There may be a fire ban in force and the responsibility for loss of life and damage to the property will be yours. This is a criminal offence. Do not leave fires unattended when lit.
9. If dogs are permitted on the property they are to be controlled at all times. When not hunting, they are to be caged, muzzled or tied up. They are not permitted in the accommodation. Do not leave with fewer dogs than you arrived with.
10. Please inform the property owner of any accidental damage or problems you may have encountered during your stay. Don’t leave problems for the property owners to find after you have left.
11. There are hazards with riding motorbikes & 4-wheelers. You must be wearing a helmet at all times while riding. If taking bikes (and if the property owner permits it), you do so at your own risk and access your own insurance needs. IHP and the owners will not be held liable for any accidents.
12. Do not EVER drive through crops!
13. If shooting on any Lucerne paddocks, all shells must be picked up. Silage choppers have metal detectors and stop when then find any metal including bullet shells.
14. Adjoining property owners are not to be approached for access. Property boundary limits are to be strictly adhered to at all times. Neighbours have been known to call police when trespassers are sighted. NO POACHING
15. Do not discard animal remains in, or near, waterways.
16. Strong 4x4 recovery equipment is recommended when driving on the properties.
17. Hunting parties of two or less must carry an ELT.
18. If nature calls, cover your sh*t. Farmers don’t need their dogs rolling in it a day or two after you leave. It does happen.
19. Don’t litter. All rubbish should be taken away with you or ask where the rubbish tip is. No rubbish is to be thrown in rivers and dams.
20. While on the property you are a guest of the property owner and any rules imposed by them take precedence over the rules listed here.
21. Don’t go ballistic! Look after your hunting future and ensure that you and other hunters continue to benefit from access to HHQ properties.
